Student Project Opportunity

The Risk Management Association of Toronto is excited to offer an opportunity for students to work on a real-world project with the guidance of a Risk Professional mentor. This is an opportunity for students to gain insight into current themes and challenges facing the risk industry, expand their network by connecting with other students and risk management professionals, and vie for an opportunity to be recognized by a professional association. Our Risk Professionals are experienced managers at reputable companies such as Scotiabank, TD, Square, Questrade and Deloitte among others.

The Student Project Opportunity will begin in October 2021. Students will be matched with a Risk Professional mentor who they will work 1-on-1 with to write an article based on a given topic in risk management. Students are expected to meet with their mentor at least every 1-2 weeks throughout the 6 week duration of the project. Your expected time commitment per week is 3-4 hours. For safety protocol, all meetings will be held virtually.

Eligibility requirements:

Any undergraduate or graduate student currently registered in school, who is interested in expanding their knowledge of risk management.
